Dale Approves Contractor for Splash Pad

DALE — The town of Dale is one step closer for their splash pad project. On Thursday, May 7, a committee meeting was held to review the request for proposal that the town received from GM Development Companies LLC for the construction of the splash pad.

Clint Roos, from Midwestern Engineers is working as a consultant with Dale for this project. He began the committee meeting by giving an overview for the committee.

Previously, the council implemented a resolution adopting Indiana Code 5-23, for the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) transaction. This process lets the town advertise a request for proposals for the financing, design, and construction of a splash pad. This differs from the typical route of the design, bid, then build process.

Greg Martz with GM Development Companies LLC has done 91% of the BOT projects in the state of Indiana explained Roos. The committee reviewed the proposal from GM Development.
